Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,186 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 20 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required License: Valid state license required at the time of submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Competent in code management Description: The position is for an ICU Registered Nurse, specifically for the ICU unit. Staffing ratios are 1:2-3. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend coverage may be required as needed. The nurse will float between departments such as the Emergency Department or Medical Surgical unit based on experience. The role will include additional support tasks on the floor, possibly serving in a sitter or Patient Care Technician capacity. Experience with managing and caring for ventilated patients is essential. Nurses must be capable of running codes independently. The daily census includes lower acuity ICU patients as well as medical surgical patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Must have skills in managing arterial lines, interpreting arterial blood gases, and administering blood products. Infection prevention and isolation precautions are critical elements of the role. Nurses will need to administer IV sedation and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips. Candidates must also have experience with starting and maintaining IVs and performing phlebotomy. Candidates must comply with floating policies within the service line. References are preferred at the time of application.
