Job Description:

The VP of Sales is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and retention as well as customer satisfaction.-- Serves as a member of the Executive Team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and develops growth and retention for client specific programs.--
  • Ensures research is conducted, and analyzes the research, on competitors and market trends.
  • Leverages data, metrics and analytics to drive sales growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Works with Marketing to ensure the company is marketed to drive sales growth including the website, marketing materials, advertising, etc.
  • Coordinates with operations on pricing.
  • Ensures contracts are written to best protect the company.
  • Ensures all sales employees have potential clients throughout the sales pipeline.
  • Develops the annual budget.--
  • Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and services initiatives.--
  • Manages multiple channel selling strategies.--
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products.--
  • Tracks program budgets and expenses and campaign response rates to evaluate each campaign based on program objectives and industry norms.--
  • Manages sales team including training, setting goals, providing incentives, and evaluating employee performance.--
  • Develops annual sales plan in support of company strategy and objectives.--
  • Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.--
  • Implements approved distribution strategies.--
  • Other duties as assigned.Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 5+ years leading a remote sales force
    • 15+-- years of experience in sales
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong listening skills
    • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and AS400 preferred
    • Ability to travel overnight 10-15%
