If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to convey our vision to prospective residents, families, community influencers, referral sources and the public at large...and want to be part of one of the fastest growing senior living providers in the Midwest - apply now!Position Summary:The Director of Sales is responsible for meeting and exceeding all occupancy and revenue goals by developing and implementing the community strategic sales plan. The Director of Sales is accountable for the entire sales process: building prospect base and referral base, maintaining the online sales tracking database, meeting and exceeding all weekly sales goals and benchmark conversion ratios, generating tours and securing deposits for move-ins. The ideal candidate also has experience in relationship-building with professionals in effort to generate leads and referrals to the community.Essential Duties include the following:The following duties are normal for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Function as primary contact for phone inquiries and walk-in visitors to drive occupancy.Responsible for outside marketing to increase professional referrals.Discover the needs of prospective residents and their families and attempt to find appropriate solutions to those needs (including, potentially, a move to Assisted Living or Memory Care).Conduct appropriate follow up activities in effort to facilitate positive, trusting and valuable relationships.Create and cultivate productive relationships with other businesses and resources for senior adults, in effort to offer resources to prospects and to receive referrals from those sources.Document all planned and completed marketing activities in a provided database, in accordance with standards established by the support team.Collaborate with Executive Director, as well as area and regional marketing teams to strategize and develop creative programs to identify and connect with key referral sources in the community and identify ways to maintain and nurture those relationships.Work with the Executive Director to help staff members maximize opportunities for resident and family-member referrals.Work with the Executive Director to help ensure that staff members receive inquiries appropriately and productively.Monitor the marketing budgets and spend lead generation dollars per the needs of the campaign.Strategize with Regional Director of Sales, portfolio Executive Directors and other Directors of Sales in developing creative programs to identify and connect with key referral sources in the community and identify ways to maintain and nurture those relationships.Work with Executive Director to help staff members maximize opportunities for resident and family-member referrals.Assist Area/Regional Director of Sales and/or Sales Specialist and Executive Director with the development of a marketing plan and assist in updating monthly or as needed to address changing conditions or opportunities.Assist Executive Director in developing Cedarhurst associate's skills in building relationships, discovery of needs, wants and interests, overcoming objections, closing, and follow-up and maintenance marketing.Assist community in exploring strategic sales approaches for all prospects during coaching sessions.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of experience OR 4-6 years past equivalent experience.Three (3) years of successful sales experience in related industry.Two (2) years sales and marketing experience with actual on-site experience in an Assisted Living or Memory Care community preferred.Demonstrated sales closing skills with a consistent record of high occupancy results.Collaborative team player able to establish effective working relationships with team members.Demonstrated experience in promoting a high level of customer service and hospitality towards and among all residents, associates, and visitorsDemonstrated communication excellence, verbally and in writing; comfortable presenting to large groups.Dependable with a strong work ethic.Possess an appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process.Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Must possess a general knowledge of laws and restrictions regarding Assisted Living care, as well as a solid understanding of opportunities and limits of other levels of care within senior living.Thoroughness & detail oriented.Goal- and result-oriented, as well as self-motivated.Superior analytical, project management and organizational skills.Sense of professional curiosity, desire to learn new things, and to find / recommend solutions to problemsGreat communication and interpersonal skills required along with the heart and passion to work with older adults while providing the best care possible.Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, to be flexible, to work well with many interruptions and have skill in multi-tasking.Valid Driver's License requiredMust exhibit and promote a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity and friendliness towards all residents, visitors, employees and the overall facility.What you need to know when considering a career with Cedarhurst...Cedarhurst professionals use their expertise and genuine respect for our residents to serve in ways that encourage independence, dignity and individuality.
