is seeking a Senior Navigation Lab Electrical Systems Engineer -
Flight Sim Labs, in Berkeley, MO.Position Responsibilities:
- Leads work with customers to develop and document complex
electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate
requirements into system architecture, hardware and software
designs and interface specifications.
- Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet
operational and functional requirements.
- Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure
system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Solves problems concerning and provides other support of
fielded hardware and software over the entire product
lifecycle.
- Researches technology advances for potential application to
company business needs.
- Makes recommendations for technology investments.This position
is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This
position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S.
Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been
active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Active Secret ClearanceBasic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science.
- Level 4: 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's
degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters degree
OR 4+ years work-related experience with a PhD
- Experience with aircraft inertial navigation systems
- Experience with testing navigation systems
- Experience with GPS navigation systemsPreferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with instrumentation and/or data acquisition
systems
- Experience handling Electrostatic Sensitive Devices (ESD)
hardware and its related processes
- Able to work independently and with a cross-functional
team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and
engineering processes quickly
- Willing to work in a Lab environment with mechanical tools and
equipment
- Hands on project/lab experience with physical hardware
- Mechanically inclinedTypical Education/Experience: Level 4:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This
