But, we leave it up to you to shape our future and your career aspirations.As an Electrician, you ll maintain repairs, replace and construct facility s components including equipment, systems and structures in and around the Nestl Purina Pilot Plant and Checkerboard Square using trade skills required of a journeyman electrician. You will, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.Understand and apply the operating principles and application of AC motors, including motor starters and auxiliary control devicesTroubleshoot and repair electronic equipment/devices, including variable frequency drives, PLCs, scales, flow meters, and control valvesDemonstrate proficiency in Ethernet communications, 4-20mA control circuits, and uninterruptible power suppliesUtilize the National Electrical Code to properly size power supplies, junction boxes, wire, conduit, and over-current devicesRead and interpret electrical drawings, including floor plans, power plans, ladder diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and power distribution one-line diagramsInstall and apply all standard electrical equipment and devices, including conduit, wire, hangers, boxes, fittings, panel boards, and transformersUnderstand the operation of power generators, UPS systems, and associated switchgearRequirementsHigh school Diploma or GED equivalentMust have a Valid Driver s License3+ years of experience with repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance of facility electrical components3+ years of experience with single & three phase electricity and power distribution systems up to 480 voltsOtherIndustrial maintenance and/or electrical certification is preferred1+ years of experience working in food manufacturing environment is preferredMust be willing to work Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am
4:00pm and Saturday from 6:00am
2:30pm.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed is preferredMust be able to perform the physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to 50+ pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignmentsAfter the 31st day of employment you must become and remain a member in good standing in the union.The approximate hourly pay for this position is $40.61. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
