Job Description:

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for directing the organization's overall supply chain operations, including Purchasing, inventory of materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods.Responsibilities:Achieves organizational objectives by developing strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. This role provides support for multiple locations and will require travel 25% of the time.Functional departments include Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory, and Warehouse operations.Assist in the departmental development of supply chain systems to ensure effective procurement and distribution.Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of supply chain strategies and cost-savings initiatives and assist in implementing facility-wide vendor contracts and relationships.Establishes proactive measures and processes for the advance communication of the potential for missed supply commitments.Leads the identification and review of manufacturing performance issues associated with schedule adherence and supply service, assigning accountability for root cause analysis and problem-solving activities, and ensuring improvements meet expectations.Proactively identify actual or potential areas of risk according to utilizing performance data and customer history. S&OP Management- building forecast of customer service orderDirect procurement and negotiation responsibilities for all raw material sourcing, pricing, confidentiality agreements, supply agreement negotiations, and inventory levels.Supplier risk mitigation.Train, develop, and manage the ongoing performance of direct reports.Ensure direct reports and their teams' adherence to all compliance programs and company policies and a safe working environment.Partner with support teams on implementing the organization's company goals and mission.Requirements:5-7 years of whole Supply Chain experience, including Logistics, Warehouse, and Procurement required.5+ years working in a food manufacturing environment preferred.3-5 experience with ERP systems, Sage preferredBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field required.
