• Must be able to fabricate and install parts to equipment or facilities to insure safe and continued operation using blueprints, written and/or verbal instructions.
• Examine work orders and PM's and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
• Basic record keeping techniques.
• Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods and techniques used in skilled and general maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Federal, state and local building codes and regulations.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of skilled journey-level work in the maintenance and repair fields.
• Prioritize, schedule, assign and review work.
• Interpret, explain and apply codes, rules and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities.
• Effectively and safely operate a variety of tools and equipment.
• Work independently with little direction.
• Meet schedules and timelines including routine record keeping. Requirements:
  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 75 pounds.
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
  • Will work with a variety of chemicals, equipment and processes.
  • Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
  • Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.
