BUSINESS ANALYSTAs a Barclays Business Analyst, you will be working the global Control Room within Compliance to transform the way restrictions are applied at Barclays. Technology will be working with the business to transform how financial instruments (also known as Securities) are used to prohibit activities for Trading and Non-Trading Business Functions/Areas/Lines. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • You will be delivering business analysis specifically for the Compliance of Banking and Research focused business and technology outcomes
  • You will be managing the business analysis process from project initiation to completion of early life support in production
  • You will be responsible for performing the internal environment analysis to understand that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the various workstreams--
  • You will be understanding problem statements and opportunities from the Control Room and translate them into clear business needs which will be presented in the form of requirements--
  • You will be responsible for producing requirements of an exceptional standard into general, technical, functional and non-functional categories--
  • You will be responsible for working with the system, application, product and service development team comprising of programme managers, business analysts, and developers
  • Working on a range of delivery initiatives that operate in Agile and Waterfall environments using the Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from the International institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)--
    • Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) from International institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
    • Experience of working with firm wide Compliance function in Banking / Financial Services --
    • Computer Science / Technology DegreeSKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
      • Practical experience of using a collection of Business Analysis tools - Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq, Confluence, Jira--
      • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance--
      • Domain knowledge of Compliance policies applicable to Corporate and Investment Bank, Markets and Research--
