Description Title: Program Manager - Automotive Electronic
Components (Hybrid On-Site & Remote in Plano, TX) Position Summary
/ PurposeThe Program Manager will be involved in leading extensive
coordination and management of project activities and facilitation
of all internal and external communications for the assigned
development programs involving electronics and mechanical hardware,
web portal and smartphone application software of the system. This
position serves as the main point of contact interfacing customer
as well as various internal departments within the US and Japan to
ensure program integrity.Key Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesMajor
responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the

- Understand the strategies and mid-term plan to align personal
objectives.
- Represent our client and properly steer the team and
program.
- Support creation of an annual plan for the team and monitor the
progress with KPIs.
- Support creation of training plan for the team members and
provide mentorship.
- Participate in management of output quality and performance of
PM team.
- Support Create a fiscal year resource and budget plan based on
the prospective projects and activities.
- Practice continuous improvement through close interactions with
internal and external customers.
- Exercise leadership ability to inspire and engage both internal
and external members involved in the projects.
- Engage with the team to successfully execute below tasks but
not limited to:
- Obtain customer RFI activity plan
- Create RFI response schedule
- Coordinate RFI kick off meeting with related entities
- Assign roles and responsibilities
- Track RFI response preparation progress
- Coordinate customer presentation
- Follow up action items after presentation
- Confirm plans for RFQ with customer
- Plan to prepare for RFQ stage
- Manage and control whole RFI activity
- Obtain customer RFQ activity plan
- Create RFQ response schedule
- Coordinate RFQ kick off meeting with related entities
- Assign roles and responsibilities
- Track RFI response preparation progress
- Coordinate customer presentation
- Follow up action items after presentation
- Confirm plans for sourcing with customer
- Manage and control whole RFQ activity
- Obtain key customer milestones
- Create master timeline
- Negotiate with related departments for timeline adjustment as
needed.
- Define project charter
- Define SOW
- Define tasks, roles, and responsibilities
- Track task progress and open issues with measurable scale
- Provide progress report to management
- Manage and Track project budget
- Place orders for samples when needed
- Understand software development status for project control
- Collect change request estimation/cost then answer to customer
via Sales dept.
- Report NA project status
- Make/Control a report to internal and customer
- Control Project health and report to customer if needed
- Risk management with software management team
- Plan and conduct general function check prior to sample
deliveries to customer
- Create function and limitation list for sample deliveries to
customer
- Closely work with Quality Assurance team to monitor field
quality
- Coordinate troubleshooting in the field with related
teams.
- Document meeting minutes
- Create and maintain document system
- Identify risk classification
- Create visualization and monitoring system to check progress
and risks
- Conduct executive program status reporting and escalate risk
items to management
- Create visualization system for progress and risk monitoring
and maintain the system
- Document and verbal translation between English and
Japanese
- Support HR and administrative tasks as neededSupervisory
ResponsibilityYesRequirementsEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSE /
CERTIFICATIONS
- BS Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years in the program management or engineering
disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development for the
automotive electronic components.
- Strength in business intelligence, data analysis, quality
analysis in hardware and software component development.
- Familiarity with automotive (OEM) specifications, requirements,
standards, and development milestones.
- Experience in managing certification efforts for items such as
CarPlay, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Android Auto, WiFi, USB, BT,
FCC/IC, SXM, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Strength in negotiation.
- Ability to effectively operate and communicate in a
multi-cultural environment
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Experience in maintaining a quality system compliant with most
recent automotive standards.
- Proficiencies in Confluence/JIRA, MS Project.Preferred
- PMP certification.
- MBA
- Ability to speak Japanese is preferred but not required.Skills

procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports,

Confluence/JIRA, VISIO, Programming language (Java/Python)OTHER:
Ability of schematics reading, hardware troubleshooting, tests and
measurements. Ability to prepare and perform technical
