The Company uses the definition of "fully vaccinated" assigned by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention for purposes of considering satisfaction of this requirement which is a condition of employment.Your role:At MilliporeSigma, the GMP Maintenance Tech works closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations groups to ensure that the equipment is maintained in GMP compliance. You will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented, team environment and maintain records to comply with Good Documentation Practice requirements. The GMP Tech is responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of site's control systems to ensure proper operation and performance with daily checks/repairs in compliance.

  • Perform installation, maintenance and troubleshooting on automated control systems (PLC/DCS), instrumentation, electrical and electromechanical equipment to maintain a safe and efficient operating unit in compliance with Operating Procedures (Ops).
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems, inspection of automated control systems (PLC/DCS/Delta V).
  • Perform calibration on various types of instruments (ie. pressure, temperature, and flow) to maintain a safe and efficient operating unit
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical supply and distribution systems (Profibus, 4-20ma control loops, Low Voltage Control Circuits, Motors and motor controls, VFDs, troubleshooting and repair of general electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Assist in managing the site instrumentation and electrical technical documentation to ensure equipment designs, technical drawings, and process changes are documented and current.
  • Works with contract service providers and supports contractors executing maintenance activities.
  • Use the Trackwise Quality Management System, SAP for work management, DWG TrueView and Teamwork drawing repository, Delta V, the Building Management System (BMS), and the tools of the trade for alarm management, troubleshooting, and repairing process controls.
  • Responsible for response to E/I emergency breakdowns and alarms throughout the GMP facilities.Who You Are:Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent AND 5+ years' manufacturing industry experience in electrical or instrumentation.OR
      • Associate degree in relevant technical discipline AND 2+ years of manufacturing industry experience.Preferred Qualifications:
        • Willing to work rotational on-call and overtime as needed.
        • Possess a working knowledge of the tools and processes of Electrical and Instrumentation AND the ability to expertly perform all types of industrial installation and repair, calibration, predictive and reliability tasks, and other duties as assigned
        • Working knowledge of Industrial controls such as DCS, PLC, Motor controls and drives, and Instrument Controls systems.
        • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot systems in an industrial environment
        • Ability to plan and organize daily tasks
