Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.The Corporate Risk Strategy Planning & Governance Office (SP&G) is responsible for supporting Wells Fargo's Chief Risk Officer in managing the Corporate Risk function, its primary functions include: Corporate Risk Business Strategy, Planning and Operations; Governance; Corporate Risk Technology & Data Architecture; Corporate Risk Front Line Risk Oversight, Corporate Risk Global Delivery; and General Business Administration.The Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSBB) CRO SP&G Leader is responsible for managing all SP&G related functions within the CSBB CRO organization. As a new organization, the CSBB SP&G leader is building out a team that will perform SP&G related functions. This role will report directly to the Leader, and will be responsible for a variety of SP&G activities within the CSBB CRO organization, including reporting, program management, governance, and planning and business management, as well as planning and implementation of strategies, policies and process advancements.This position will interact with senior Consumer & Small Business Banking business and Risk leaders and other senior Risk leaders, including the CSBB line of business CROs, SERM risk directors, and other SP&G leaders. This position could also interact with regulators including the OCC, FRB and FDIC.The position will contribute to critical risk management programs and activities, including risk and control committee management, board reporting, and monitoring the execution of Risk Management Framework related programs. They will establish priorities and drive accountability providing leadership to ensure solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to optimize effectiveness, account for all aspects of risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate. This position also develops and implements reporting/information delivery/presentations with key stakeholders and senior management, including root cause, cost/benefit, and risk analyses. They may also provide direction to a cross functional team using business acumen and expertise; does not have direct reports.Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services
  • 5+ years of leadership experienceDesired Qualifications
    • Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills

      • Experience creating and delivering compelling executive presentations with high impact visuals
      • Knowledge and understanding of program management: development of roadmaps, strategies, and management of programs ranging from concepts in ideation through to delivery
      • Knowledge and understanding of ever-evolving regulatory environments and governance processes
      • Understanding of risk management and COO related activities supporting a line of business or the enterprise risk management function.
      • Business management, including human capital planning and budget management
      • Ability to manage multiple deliverables at same time within fast paced environment
      • Strong business and risk acumen
      • Ability to apply critical thinking in describing multiple risks into a single risk landscape
