They prepare evaluation reports and provide regulatory and procedural guidance and assistance to customers. They process financial transactions to include computing entitlements such as pay, travel and contractor/government invoices; prepare vouchers to authorize NGA payment; approve the issuance of payments via check or Electronic Funds Transfer; certify availability and accountability of funds; post certified documents in relevant systems.Additional Job InformationADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The duties associated with this position. * Communicate the financial strategic plan to key stakeholders. * Develop and present executive-level decision briefings and papers incorporating relevant analytic findings. * Interpret impact of fiscal law and policies on NGA mission; identify dependencies and implement solutions. * Handle highly complex, sensitive, or ambiguous challenges facing the organization. Make decisions that have an impact within and outside the immediate organization and agency. * Supervise and direct other subordinate managers and or supervisors, functions, or projects. Responsible for justifying, directing, and allocating resources across the organization through one or more levels of supervision and for setting organizational goals, objectives, and priorities. Additional information: The incumbent will serve as a as a Division Chief within the Financial Management Finance Office located in Arnold, MO in a supervisory role. They will evaluate performance and counsel team members. Hear and resolve complaints and implement disciplinary measures. Understand organizational priorities and dependencies. Plan, assign, and monitor work to achieve desired outcomes. Adjust resource assignments to meet changing demands. Innovate to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Incumbent will be required to obtain a DoD Financial Management Certification Level 3 within 2 years of taking their position. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Public Administration, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in researching financial issues and evaluating financial operating statements, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to 1 year of experience. Candidates should show their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in researching financial issues and evaluating financial operating statements, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties associated with this work.Highly Desired QualificationsQUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated skills in leadership. 2. Federal financial management expertise. 3. Experience interpreting, composing and applying federal financial regulations, policies, and procedures. 4. Demonstrated experience in communicating to all levels of an organization, both oral and written.Additional Job RequirementsYou must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.
