Company is seeking a full-time Sr. Electrical Engineer to spearhead the creation of an in-house Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering (MEP) division within Company, as its first hire. The successful candidate will demonstrate the professional licensure and breadth of experience and ability both in the discipline of Electrical Engineering, as well as the skills to manage a team. This position will work out of corporate office in Des Peres (St. Louis), Missouri.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInitially, the Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Interpret jurisdictional and ICC electrical code requirements, and apply to small retail tenant improvement projects
• Perform electrical load calculations for small tenant improvement and telecommunications installations
• Design and draft electrical and lighting systems with the intention of meeting jurisdiction requirements for permittingWorkload-permitting, it is intended that the Sr. Electrical Engineer will hire and train electrical designers to complete the above work, and the Sr. Electrical Engineer will oversee that work.
  Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities at-start; however, workload-permitting, the Sr. Electrical Engineer will hire, train, and manage a subset of Corporation employees.Other Skills and Abilities

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required
    • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in at least one (1) state required, with NCEES accreditation to facilitate licensure in other states
    • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD required
    • Minimum 2 year of experience in commercial electrical engineering
    • Good computer skills
