About Us: Chesterfield Sports Association is the owner and operator of, The Beal Center, a premier sports and recreation facility dedicated to providing top-notch experiences for athletes, families, and community members. We are seeking a Custodian/Janitorial Position to join our team and help ensure our facility is clean, well-maintained, and ready for all types of events and activities. Key Responsibilities: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including courts, common areas, and restrooms. Help with the setup and teardown of events, including arranging furniture, equipment, and other materials as directed by the Facility Maintenance Manager. Perform general maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and organizing equipment to ensure the facility remains in top condition. Safely handle and store athletic equipment, and assist with the movement of equipment as needed during events and practices. Ensure the facility is ready for use, including checking that all equipment is in proper working order and that all areas are free of hazards. Qualifications: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods of time, including bending, lifting, and carrying materials. Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs, and occasionally lift athletic equipment weighing up to 55 lbs without assistance. 1-2 years of janitorial or event set-up experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. A keen eye for cleanliness and organization, with the ability to spot potential issues before they arise. Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
