your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team
is seeking an Associate or Experienced Systems Engineer - Mission
Computing Architecture located in Berkeley, MO.As a member of the
team, you will support the F-15 International Office of the Chief
Engineer. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and
ensuring the integrity of requirements for the Mission Computing
Architecture development.Position Responsibilities:
- Requirements Champion: Take ownership of the requirements
management process, ensuring that all requirements are clearly
defined, documented, and communicated across the multidisciplinary
team. Your attention to detail will be essential in maintaining
clarity and alignment.
- Collaborative Communicator: Engage with stakeholders, including
customers and engineering teams, to gather, analyze, and refine
requirements. Your ability to facilitate discussions will foster a
shared understanding and drive program success.
- Traceability Expert: Develop and maintain traceability metrics
to ensure that all requirements are linked to their corresponding
verification activities. Your meticulous approach will help uphold
the integrity of the requirements throughout the project
lifecycle.
- Change Management Advocate: Proactively manage changes to
requirements, assessing impacts on project scope, schedule, and
resources. Your agility in navigating these changes will be crucial
in maintaining project momentum and alignment with customer
needs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all requirements meet rigorous
standards for clarity, completeness, and testability. Your
commitment to quality will help deliver systems that perform
reliably and effectively.
- Documentation Specialist: Create and maintain comprehensive
documentation related to requirements management processes,
including requirement specifications, change logs, and status
reports. Your organizational skills will support transparency and
accountability.
- Cross-Functional Collaborator: Work closely with systems
engineers, architects, subject matter experts, and other
stakeholders to ensure that requirements are integrated into the
overall system architecture and design. Your collaborative spirit
will drive coherence and strategic direction.
- Continuous Improvement Advocate: Identify opportunities for
process improvements within the requirements management framework.
Your proactive mindset will contribute to enhancing efficiency and
effectiveness in managing requirements.This position is expected to
be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work
onsite at one of the listed location options. This position
requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which
the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of
employment.
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is
required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science.
- 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR
a combination of work-related experience and a Masters degree
- 5+ years of work-related experience OR 3+ years work-related
experience with a Masters OR PhD (level 3 position)Preferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Systems Integration
- Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience with the F-15 platform.
- Experience working on Avionics systems
- Experience working with DOORS for requirements management
- Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g. Rational
System Architect, Rational Software Architect, MagicDraw, Cameo
Enterprise Architecture)Typical Education/Experience: Level 2:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although
not required, accreditation standard.Level 3: Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'
related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation
