Reporting to the Director of Development, this critical staff
member also works with the President & CEO, program directors and
Board Members to meet annual revenue goals and identify new funding
opportunities. TheGrants Coordinator assists with the grant process
for Center of Creative Arts (COCA).This role helps oversees the
process, organization and production of funding proposals to local
and national partners, including corporate supporters, foundations
and public entities. The Grant Coordinator's responsibilities
include tracking program-funding needs and assisting the Director
of Development with strategy. This role will also assist with all
grant-related administration duties, including prospect research,
maintaining the calendar of grant applications, project management
for grant applications, writing, preparing, and submitting Letters
of Interest (LOIs) and grant reporting. Attention to detail and
communication skills will be critical to the success of this
position.

- Responsible for the solicitation of grants from foundations,
corporate foundations, and public entities.
- Assist the Director of Development a portfolio of institutional
funders and prospects, ensuring strong and enduring
relationships.
- Create and execute plans to re-establish relationships with
lapsed funders as appropriate.
- Identify and research new grant and funding sources via grant
making databases, professional fundraising publications, local
publications, internet and websites and any other potential
resources.
- Update institutional constituent records in Tessitura-COCA's
data management system-including addresses, profiles, key
relationships, research, solicitations and financial
projections.
- Collaborate with COCA staff to assist with the development of
detailed budgets for proposals, tracking and summarizing program
expenditures for reporting purposes.
- Maintain annual calendar for grants submission and progress
reports as requested by donors.
- Ensure the fulfillment of all benefits/recognition as
necessary.
- Respond to requests of foundations, corporations, groups, and
individual donors in a timely manner.
- Ensures acknowledgment of grants to COCA both publically and
internally within 48 business hours of receipt.
- Actively input grant information into donor database.
- Submit all grants on or before grant deadline.
- Build and maintain relationships with COCA program directors
and stay abreast of future initiatives and projects.
- Ensure grant language and case-making materials from program
directors is up to date and accurate.
- Partner with program staff to ensure evaluation and analytics
methodologies will help fulfill donor-reporting needs.
- Attend fundraising and other public events to build/maintain
relationships with funders.
- Help with special events and projects, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and foundation's
requirements for grants.
- Other duties as assigned. Education and/ or Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or significant professional experience
required.
- Three (3) or more years of writing and fund development
experience, with demonstrated success.
- Experience working with foundations and corporations on
institutional funding, including crafting proposals, submitting
outcome reports, understanding entities' funding areas and managing
relationships is preferred.
- Successful experience in building institutional relationships
with peers and volunteers.
- Understanding of and facility working with budgets is
required.
- Strong computer skills (knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
and facility with online grant portals). Tessitura knowledge a
plus.
- A love for the arts, education, and building communities.

programs.

concurrent deliverables and deadlines.

external employees, supervisors, and the general COCA community.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- This position frequently communicates with donors, vendors and
teammates. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these
situations.
- This position frequently moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds
for various event needs.
- This person needs to move about the inside of the office and
events. This requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods
of time.
- This role is expected to work onsite a minimum of three days a
week, once they satisfy the waiting period as indicated in the
Remote & Hybrid Policy. COVID-19 Considerations:
