PEG's manufacturing client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their in-office team in Des Peres, St. Louis, MO, for a permanent/ direct hire role IMMEDIATELY. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll set up new vendors and maintain current information on vendors.
• You'll code, approve, enter and post invoices in A/P for material received (receipt of invoice) and production. Process miscellaneous vendor invoices.
• The Accounts Payable Clerk will assist with invoice coding, approval, A/P data entry, and posting.
• Manage weekly check run by selecting invoices for payment and printing checks.
• Research invoices, both paid and unpaid, as needed.
• Maintain a spreadsheet of prepayments made to vendors on incoming material. (We need you to excel at Excel)
• Reconcile credit card statements to receipts and research any discrepancies.
• Enter manual checks into Sage ERP to record wire transfers, ACH, and credit card payments.
• Answer and respond to inquiries from vendors about invoices and possibly process payments. ("Hello, why yes, I'd be happy to answer your question about your invoice.")
• Control expenses by receiving, verifying, and approving individual expense reports.
  
  TO BE SUCCESSFUL, IT MAY HELP IF YOU HAVE:
  
  • 2 plus years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Strong ability to multi-task and handle disruptions
  • Proficient with 10-key data entry
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Moderate skill level in Excel and Outlook
  • Sage ERP experience is a plus (Not the plant sage - the ERP)
  • Basic math/algebra skills (calculators welcome)
