Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business.Your greatest work is ahead!Leidos seeks a Chief Scientist with experience in statistical analysis, data ingestion and processing of data, and experience with methods/analytics development, to support the development of a new solution. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to support the development of complex analytics and analyze hardware and software metrics for predicting enterprise architecture enhancements.This position is a named-resource in the Leidos Proposal and the resultant awarded contract. The individual will need to participate significantly in proposal development, including Orals.Maru, under the Exploitation Services (ExServ) program, is the contract vehicle that provides the sustainment of existing Integrated Exploitation Environment (IEC) Application Services (software) and certain related exploitation features for Image Science (e.g. Advanced GEOINT Services (AGS), Image Analysis, Geospatial Analysis, and some data science applications. Maru also provides for an agile modernization of the Geospatial Exploitation Environment with a goal of seamless interoperability with other existing and emerging NGA exploitation applications. A key feature is the efficient interaction with NGA data repositories, orchestration, and identity management, as well as various exploitation tools.Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analytic methodologists to develop and automate analytics and analytic methods programmatically in Python, R or similar.
  • Build and deploy visualizations to present analytic results
  • Analyze enterprise operations and develop predictive analytics to support architecture improvements
  • Effectively use GitHub to store and document analytic processes and the accompanying code
  • Lead customer engagement data collection activities to support improvement of the business process
  • Experience with image processing and analysisBasic Qualifications
    • Must have a TS Clearance to be considered
    • Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience OR a Master's Degree and 10 years' experience with a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or similar relevant field. Certifications and/or additional qualifications or experience will be considered.
    • Experience with AI/ML development tools such as Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
    • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or R, and Matlab
    • Experience with general data science packages such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy
    • Strong coordination and collaboration skills
    • Experience with cloud environments such as Gov Cloud or AWS
    • Experience with visualization technologies such as Grafana, Tableau, Bokeh, matplotlib, or similar
    • Experience with Computer Vision algorithm development
    • Experience briefing to a customer
    • Experience leading a teamPreferred Qualifications
      • Experience contributing to GitHub repositories and using Git for version control
      • Experience with JIRA
      • Experience with relational database technologies and SQL, and querying through APIs for retrieving data
      • Experience with proposal writing
      • Experience with the Agile Software Development LifecyclePay Range:Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
