ELA Teacher (ELL)SummaryELL (English-language learners) -teachers are fulltime english teachers and the language experts in the buildings where they serve. ELL Teachers are expected to evaluate, instruct, and improve English proficiency and serve as a resource to the school for English language concerns.Responsibilities

  • Meet with 1-2 students twice a week to work on language skillsTrack data towards growth in English language skillsConnect 1/week with head of Neuro Diverse Learners (NDL) to discuss growthCommunicate with family on a weekly basis to explain progressAdapt and implement a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
  • Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments -
  • Make use of data to inform instructional decisions
  • Give students daily feedback on their performance and plan for individual learning needs
  • Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
  • Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture -
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
  • Maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress -
  • Effectively manage a classroom with up to 25 students -Driver Goals -

          • Bachelor's degree Required
          • Masters degree - Preferred
          • Missouri Substitute Certification Required
          • Valid Missouri Teacher Certification, Strongly Preferred or willingness to become certified ASAP.
          • 3+ years of teaching experience Preferred
          • Satisfactory completion of criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable.
          • Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.Starting Salary: From $48,000 -annually based on experienceBenefits:
