ELA Teacher (ELL)SummaryELL (English-language learners) -teachers
are fulltime english teachers and the language experts in the
buildings where they serve. ELL Teachers are expected to evaluate,
instruct, and improve English proficiency and serve as a resource
to the school for English language concerns.Responsibilities
- Meet with 1-2 students twice a week to
work on language skillsTrack data towards growth in English
language skillsConnect 1/week with head of Neuro Diverse Learners
(NDL) to discuss growthCommunicate with family on a weekly basis to
explain progressAdapt and implement a rigorous, standards-aligned
curriculum
- Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and
assessments -
- Make use of data to inform instructional decisions
- Give students daily feedback on their performance and plan for
individual learning needs
- Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
- Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture

- Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers,
and staff
- Maintain strong communication with all parents and share
progress -
- Effectively manage a classroom with up to 25 students -Driver

correct them.Qualifications and Requirements -
- Bachelor's degree Required
- Masters degree - Preferred
- Missouri Substitute Certification Required
- Valid Missouri Teacher Certification, Strongly Preferred or
willingness to become certified ASAP.
- 3+ years of teaching experience Preferred
- Satisfactory completion of criminal records check, pre-hire and
annually thereafter, if applicable.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work
authorization.Starting Salary: From $48,000 -annually based on
