(PR) Team is the group that s at the center of it all, working with
media, community partners and both internal and external
stakeholders to share Nestl Purina s story. They look after our
reputation and ensure we re a good corporate citizen in our
hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, and in the cities in which we
operate. They manage partnerships and events within our local and
extended communities, as well as organize various internal
functions and programs that our associates rally around, like
Purina Cares Day our annual day of service.As a Public Relations
Intern, you will help the Corporate PR function promote, protect,
and influence our external and internal stakeholders. You will gain
exposure to internal and external communications, community
affairs, event planning, government affairs, and reputation
management.Identify engaging stories and develop content to share
for internal and external channelsDevelop written and video content
for internal platforms including our weekly newsletter and
Workplace by Facebook groupsDevelop artwork leveraging Photoshop to
accompany contentServe as liaison with external vendors and
internal communications to create compelling and integrated video
collateralAssist the Corporate PR team with event planning and
implementation, including logistics and vendor management for our
various community, non-profit, and government affairs
partnersAssist in developing collateral for building awareness of
such eventsFacilitate and lead focus groups and other highly
visible meetingsREQUIREMENTSEnrolled as a junior (graduating no
earlier than December 2023 and no later than May 2024) in an
undergraduate program or graduate programMust be majoring in
Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Communications, or
related field of studyMust be able to commit to 12, full-time
consecutive weeks during summer of 2023Previous internship
experience and/or involvement with an on-campus, student-led,
athletic, or Military organizationOTHERExperience writing in AP
styleEvent planning experience (e.g. Student Activity Board, Social
Chair, Athletic or Club event)Proficiency with Photoshop or
InDesign programsInterest in photography and video
