Overview:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the payroll
production process for assigned groups. - This position uses
advanced payroll knowledge and expertise to make recommendations to
ensure overall accuracy and completeness. - The Payroll Specialist
determines and implements processes and procedures based on the
needs and local laws impacting assigned group payrolls. - This
position also serves as a lead on projects and assigned specialty
functions. -This role is located at the Enterprise Holdings
Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO and offers a hybrid schedule
(3 days in-office, 2 days work-from-home). - -Enterprise offers an

Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert and manage the payroll review
for biweekly and monthly payrolls for assigned groups; review
scheduled payrolls for inaccuracy and areas of risk; determine
adjustments and revisions needed; work with assigned Coordinator or
Manager to ensure corrections are completedMonitor and interpret
current payroll laws at the state and local levels and make
recommendations to Payroll Manager on necessary changes to
procedures for compliance; Determine and apply appropriate
processes and practices to payrolls based on needs and local laws
impacting the assigned groupsProvide guidance and training to
payroll personnel assigned to same payroll as necessaryOwn and
manage assigned specialty functions across multiple groups
(garnishment, VOEs, etc); review for accuracy; determine
adjustments and revisions needed; provide guidance to payroll
personnel for corrective action needed.Build relationships and work
with Group contacts to identify opportunities to improve payroll
processes and/or identify challenges with current processesPartner
with the payroll customer services and business contacts to resolve
issues; Research complex payroll questions and provide guidance on
payroll issues to Groups and the Payroll departmentReview and
monitor existing procedures for assigned groups and provide
solutions to increase efficiencyProvide guidance to assigned
payroll personnel on resolution of employment tax issuesRecommend
procedural changes for assigned payrolls, leading communication and
implementation effortsProcess journal entries, including review
and/or approval of entries prepared by othersComplete payroll
related account schedulesDevelop plan for and lead payroll year-end
and other special projects for assigned payroll(s)Guide the
development and maintenance of payroll checklists and procedure
documentationMay provide reporting for analysis and forecasting to
managementMay serve as backup for payroll processing -Equal

Qualifications:
Minimum:Must have 3+ years payroll and accounting experienceMust
have Intermediate or above proficiency in Microsoft Word and
ExcelMust be authorized to work in the United States and not
require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this
position now or in the futurePreferred:Bachelor's DegreeCertified
Payroll Professional (CPP) CertificationCompetency Based: -Results
