Sustainability Specialist Position Summary:Brook + Whittle, one of North America's leading sustainable labeling solutions providers, is currently seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join its team. This position will report directly to the Director of Sustainability and will develop and implement sustainability project goals, objectives, initiatives, and strategies in collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. You will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability programs. You will build education materials, processes, procedures, and documentation to imbed sustainability into our daily operations and supply chain. You will be a key resource to drive our mission of being a leading provider of sustainable packaging, building a future that's better for our customers and for the planet. Sustainability Specialist Roles and Responsibilities:-- Lead implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management System and third-party certifications across all manufacturing sites.-- Develop, monitor, and track sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, waste, recycling, pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and other internal metrics as well as lead projects and programs to reduce our consumption and meet our sustainability goals.-- Regulatory and product compliance to environmental standards.-- Work closely and collaboratively with EHS, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain on internal environmental and sustainability projects. -- Help build education materials, processes, procedures, and documentation to imbed sustainability into the daily actions of operations and supply chain.-- Assist in developing our Sustainability and ESG framework and other sustainability reporting.-- Research or review regulatory, technical, or market issues related to environmental sustainability to proactively put us on a path for compliance and customer demand.-- Evaluate and approve proposals for sustainability projects, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and integration with other initiatives.-- Develop project proposals, sustainability reports, grant applications, presentations, and marketing campaigns.-- Provide technical or administrative support for sustainability programs, issues, and questions.-- Participate in industry associations focused on sustainability and build network of industry professionals.

Sustainability Specialist Skills:-- A hands-on leader that is a role model with high integrity, positive influence, and strong business acumen that embraces change, possesses a continuous improvement mindset, and has a passion for exceeding customer and company expectations. -- Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written.-- Strong leadership and organizational skills as well as problem solving and decision-making skills.-- Excellent track record driving employee engagement.-- Strong computer skills.-- Dedicated to quality in all aspects of the job.-- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding business environment.Sustainability Specialist Qualifications:-- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging, Printing, Natural Resources, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field -- A minimum of 1-3 years related experience is preferred-- 5 years of equivalent education and work experience in the field of sustainable packaging or environmental engineering.-- Preferred prior experience with ISO14001 or Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, sustainability reporting with SBTi, CDP, etc., emissions reporting, regulatory compliance, and ESG experience. -- Must be able to travel up to 25%.About Us: Brook + Whittle is a leading North American manufacturer of premium prime label solutions with highly differentiated capabilities, entrusted by some of the most well-known brands.
