of the Police Officer (Lt.) position are listed below, but are not
limited to: Pursues and arrests offenders of criminal acts, subdues
suspects when force is necessary, takes charge at crime scenes and
restricts access to only those persons required to be present.
Interrogates suspects of crimes, applies rules for search and
seizure, and obtains arrest warrants or search warrants as needed.
Analyzes facts to identify suspects and develops case information
necessary to further criminal complaints. Responds to reports of
crimes in progress, calls for service, and traffic enforcement.
Uses knowledge of a wide range of police and security concepts,
principles and practices to review independently, analyze, and
resolve difficult and complex law enforcement problems. Plans work
to be accomplished, sets long and short-term goals to be

04/29/2022. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current
Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52
weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date
of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52
weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but
must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows
your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your

stairs, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching or
crawling, in restrictive areas during search or pursuit activities,
or defending oneself or others against physical attack. LAUTENBERG
AMENDMENT This position authorizes the incumbent to carry a
firearm. Any person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime
of domestic violence cannot lawfully possess a firearm or
ammunition (Title 18, U.S.C., Section 922(g)(91)). Candidates who
have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are
not qualified for this position. Candidates under consideration
will be required to certify whether they have ever been convicted
of such an offense. False or fraudulent information provided by
candidates is criminally punishable by fine or imprisonment (Title
18, U.S.C., Section 1001). DESIGNATED DRUG-TESTING POSITION:
