Job Description:

Averhealth is looking to add a - Quality Control Chemist I -to our St. Louis Laboratory Team. In this role, you are responsible for preparing controls and calibrators used to measure and test lab specimens for routine drug testing following the laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures. You will also interface with our Analytical Instruments (LC/MS/MS + GC/MS) and need to have the ability to work safely with instruments/equipment, chemicals, and biological samples.

PAY: -$22/HR + Full-Time Benefits, Company-Paid Training Program, Uniform Allowance (post-training) + Attendance Bonus Eligibility + Referral Bonus Eligibility + Potential Relocation Assistance
FULL-TIME: - (35-45 hours/week)
DAY SHIFT: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 9 AM - 5:30 PM (with some flexibility)
LOCATION: -IN-LAB, St. Louis, MO

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, qualify and review data associated with all quality control solutions needed at the St. Louis laboratory
Adapt, maintain and operate analytical instrumentation
Follow, review and modify procedures associated with QC controls as well as other routine SOPs that may be impacted by updates
Contribute to R&D and validation activities
Communicate and interact with other departments to solve issues impeding confirmation tests on patient samples
Locate specific patient samples and perform confirmation assays according to the toxicology testing method requested
Interface with analytical instruments including LC-MS, GC-MS and Tecan Liquid Handler
Review data generated by LC-MS and GC-MS instrumentation before sending to data certifiers
Lab maintenance: including, but not limited to, cleaning glassware, restocking/refilling pipette tips, glass vials, centrifuge tubes, etc.
Reagent preparation
Adhere to all security procedures for ensuring the confidentiality of donor information
Adhere to all established guidelines outlined in Averhealth Employee Guidebook
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent relevant field - REQUIRED
2-3+ years of experience operating and reviewing data for an LC-MS/MS instrument + ABSciex experience - preferred .
2-3+ years' experience in a biological laboratory environment preparing QC materials
2-3+ years' experience with LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS instrumentation

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$22/HR
