Senior level non-exempt underwriting position responsible for
applying expertise in Commercial Insurance Lines of Business,
including specific Public Entity and Specialty lines, Commercial
Auto Liability, General Liability and Excess Workers' Compensation,
assisting applicable Underwriters by performing review and analytic
processes at account level. Review and make recommendations related
to a variety of policy life cycle transactions, process and
procedures and/or system needs to aid in the betterment and
efficiency of the overall department.

Responsible for accurate and timely servicing of high-profile, more
complex prospective and renewal accounts and/or specific business
categories, as it pertains to the complete underwriting life cycle.
Processes and responsibilities may include in part the following:
submission set-up, deeper level account analysis and research,
assist underwriter in pre-underwriting evaluations and other
applicable duties, issuance of higher level transactions, and
special program handling.
Prepare consolidating and analytical analyses, including creation
of spreadsheets for further evaluation when needed for assessment
and understanding complex and large accounts, outlining items of
concern or notable differences from previous year's information,
system testing or overall reporting on book of business.
Demonstrate leadership working in conjunction with other units and
department personnel to meet service needs; make recommendations
and discuss with management.
Train and mentor less experienced employees to enable them to
efficiently perform their duties and to assist in the development
Analyze submission and SN data to identify, investigate and
document notable gaps/inconsistencies for Underwriting review.
Assist underwriter by providing supplemental analyses, as
Proficiently use underwriting systems, imaging, and other
supporting systems/websites. May act as additional unit liaison for
system testing, problem identification/reporting.
Must understand nuances of special programs within assigned
territory,in order to assist Underwriters in efficiently servicing
Assist in analyzing unit processes and identifying needed system
enhancements for improved workflow efficiencies.
Participates in the creation, establishment and on-going
maintenance of needed databases and/or spreadsheet tools to
properly monitor business written, facilitating interdepartmental

customers and perform timely follow up, when necessary, to obtain
information needed for the underwriting or issuance of policy,
certificates, notices, and endorsements.
Share unique/new individual knowledge, assist in mentoring and/or
