BJC Corporate Health
Services, the occupational medicine organization
within BJC HealthCare, externally supports employers and employees
of the St. Louis metropolitan area with three full-service
BarnesCare clinics that provide expert physicals, surveillance,
injury/exposure evaluation and treatment. Specialized services
include contract management of work-related injury care for BJC
hospitals, independent medical exams, traveler's health, on-site
services, care management, toxicology support and two 24/7 hotlines
for body substance exposures and emergency room coordination of
work-related care. BJC Corporate Health Services provides
occupational health support for BJC employees through on-site and
virtual oversight including administration of workers'
compensation. BJC Corporate Health Services also manages the BJC
WellAware fitness center, which extends fitness opportunities with
on-site classes at BJC hospitals throughout the metropolitan area.
In 2010, BJC Corporate Health Services became the first and only
St. Louis occupational medicine provider quality-certified by the
National Association of Occupational Health Providers.

Provides direct care to patients
including those with complex behavioral and/or mental health needs
under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional
- Demonstrate skill and judgement necessary to provide safe
and effective care to patients including those with complex
behavioral and/or mental health needs.
- Implements direct patient care under the supervision of
the nurse promoting patient and family centered care in a healing
- Collects clinical data and information on patients,
documents appropriate data, and reports changes in patient status
to the healthcare team.
- Uses effective communication skills to collaborate with
members of the health care team to provide a safe environment to
achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provides continual observation, ongoing documentation,
and participates in the development of the plan of care for
patients with complex behavioral and/or mental health
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe
manner is an essential function of this job.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree
- CPI certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
