JOB SUMMARY

Manage and oversee Charter's Legal Response Operations Center to ensure all legal process for Charter subscriber information is responded to in an accurate and timely manner. Provides guidance to and effectively manages privacy specialist paralegals and legal specialists involved in complex subpoena, court order and search warrant compliance. Manage escalated communication with law enforcement, attorneys, government officials and other business partners. Lead projects that require competency in information technology, legal process, privacy of subscriber records, customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and support team of privacy specialist paralegals and legal specialists

Develop, maintain and update procedures for analyzing and responding to valid legal requests in a timely manner

Train privacy specialist paralegals and legal specialists on response processes and procedures

Work with other business units to gather data responsive to requests received

Communicate and coordinate with law enforcement and other third party requestors

Manage Charter's legal response system and portal and coordinate with personnel responsible for maintenance of system

Work with managing attorney to identify and address key legal issues

Lead and direct the work of others

Perform other duties as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to effectively manage a team

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to analyze and interpret data

Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner

Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel

Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties

Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)

Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services

Ability to work independently

Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university

Related Work Experience

5+ years law firm or law enforcement experience

2+ years training experience

2+ years management experience

2+ years supervisory experience

Some experience with privacy/legal compliance referred

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment

Minimal travel required
