Job Summary:Maintain, control, and operate machines and equipment that are used in the manufacturing of smaller production equipment and other utility products. Position requires a commitment to quality, safety and communication. Must rely upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under general supervision and reports to a--supervisor/manager.Primary Tasks:* Sets up production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.* Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties.* Carry out routine maintenance on machines.* Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.* Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery* Ensure all materials are readily available.* Effectively monitor production equipment.* Assist materials handlers as necessary.* Maintain a safe and clean work space.* Follow established safety rules and regulations.* Perform other duties as assigned.?Education and/or Experience* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)* Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.* Setup 3-8 axis CNC lathe* Some programming experience* 5-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area; 10 years preferred
