The Boeing Company is seeking a--Mid-Level Functional System
Engineer -- System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) (Level 3) to
lead the development and review of functional--systems
analysis--work products.-- The candidate will use STPA methodology
and Model Base System Engineering (MBSE) to define and
develop--systems vulnerability--analysis, system architecture
design and--risk mitigation--mechanism. This is a 1st shift
position and can work remotely.The Boeing Company is seeking a
candidate to join the Systems Engineering Functional Organization
in Systems Theoretical Process Analysis (STPA) efforts under the
Boeing Defense Systems Engineering Home Office.-- This position
will support multiple programs across the Enterprise.-- This
position will support our customers in the design, sustainment,
development, production and deployment of hardware, software and
systems of systems by combining traditional Systems Engineering
skills with a broader, more encompassing systems analysis
approach.-- This approach is targeted to uncover potential safety,
security and other potential loss vulnerabilities utilizing STPA
guidelines and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Primary
- Employing STPA methodology as part of MBSE to define and
develop vulnerability analysis, system architecture design,
requirements definition, and risk mitigation mechanism.
- Coaching and teaching teams in the learning and application of
STPA for functional analysis.
- Development and deployment of tools and job aids to facilitate
application of STPA.
- Defining, implementing, and improving hardware and software
functional processes for safety, cybersecurity, quality, etc.
- Leading the development and review of functional system
analysis work products.
- Creating functional system concepts.
- Coordinating with various teams (electronics, software, control
systems, algorithm development, mechanical, thermal, etc.).
- Briefing results and status to leadership.Work
Authorization:This position requires the ability to obtain a US
Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US
Citizenship. (Post Start).Basic Qualifications (Required
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- 3 or more years of experience assisting with safety processes
- 3 or more years of experience with performing research and
analysis on processes, applications, systems and data to identify
functional requirements for application or system design.
- Experienced with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Typical
Education/ Experience:-- Education/experience typically acquired
through advanced technical education from an accredited course of
study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related
work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.Relocation:----------------This
