A downtown St. Louis-based manufacturer is seeking an energetic and quality-minded professional to fill a Machine Operator position. Capable persons will have experience using power hand tools & machinery in the manufacturing of cabinetry, countertops, or tabletops. Preferred experience setting up and operating double-end tenon, edge bander, band saw, and or similar type machinery. Also, have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team environment. Forklift & OSHA certifications are a plus. We have a FULL BENEFIT package that includes: - Day Shift, four 10-hour Work Days - Vacation, Holiday & Personal Paid Time Off - Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance - 401(k) & matching - Secured Free Parking Principal Responsibilities: - Starts and observes machine operation to ensure conformance to specifications. - Sets and adjusts machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operations. - Selects and attaches the workpiece holding fixture to the drive mechanism, and positions or clamps the workpiece to the fixture - Removes the workpiece and examines it to ensure it meets specifications. - Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm 10 hours daily, morning, afternoon, and lunch break
