ASSOCIATE REAL-TIME SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
Intramotev is seeking an Associate Real-Time Software Engineer (entry-level) to join the software development team to meet growing demands in the development of self-propelled rail vehicles. Intramotev is developing multiple unmanned self-propelled vehicles. The role has a strong software focus - the successful candidate will be a member of the development team for innovative self-propelled capabilities in areas such as Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), real-time scheduling, and real-time application software (motor, brake, battery management, GPS, and communications control) for current and future platforms. The development of these capabilities include multidisciplinary skills including: communication and control of sensors, system development and integration, and knowledge of vehicle management. This position will be based out of St. Louis, MO
This position involves working in a dynamic team environment on small (1-2) to medium (3-6) person projects where excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed. Due to the research nature of the work, project objectives and requirements are likely to evolve over the course of the role. A small amount of domestic travel to support integration, demonstration and customer engagement will be required. Position Responsibilities

• Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  
• Tests and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  
• Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  
  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  
  • 
    
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science
    
  • 1+ years of university and/or internship/co-op experience with real-time embedded software development
    
  • 1+ years of university or intern/co-op experience with C, C++, C# and/or Python programming
    
  • 1+ years of university or inter/co-op experience with the software development life-cycle
    
  • U.S. Person (immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided)
    
  • Motivated, detail-oriented
    
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches
    
  • Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment or as an individual contributor
    
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English
    
    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
    Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:
    
    • 
      
    • 1+ years of university or intern/co-op experience with controllers and electrical systems
      
    • Experience working with software version control tools such as GitHub
      
    • Courses related to Autonomous Systems
      
    • Demonstrated experience working on project teams.
      
      Typical Education and Experience:
      Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 1 or more years' related work (internship/co-op) or university course projects experience.
