Resident Support Specialist will focus on applying various
techniques and effective troubleshooting methods to assist and
educate seniors in learning how to use and navigate new technology
devices. You will provide consultation, technology support, and
training to seniors predominantly in-person at senior living
communities. Our goal is to make an impact in the lives of seniors
as they use technology to stay safe, connected, and engaged.
Patience, clarity, and the ability to adapt to various levels of
familiarity and competencies with technology is critical to the
success of this position. Schedule and communicate through
in-person (85%) and telephone (15%) sessions with seniors to help
them feel empowered through the use of technology Provide seniors
with key information and step-by-step processes regarding the use
of technology Work with internal and external teams to monitor and
manage a queue of technology questions, concerns, and requests to
support seniors as needed Create and deliver educational technology
training sessions to groups of seniors Provide keen attention to
detail to ensure projects are a success through documentation,
process improvement, and reporting Qualifications A bachelor---s
degree is required A bachelor---s degree in a technology-related or
social science field is preferred Work Experience/Qualifications:
Strong aptitude for technology and teaching others Familiarity with
customer support Experience working with seniors 65 a plus Work
Environment and Physical Demands: Ability to travel frequently
(85%) to resident community settings This position will require
extensive in-state and out-of-state travel Continuous oral and
written communication and listening skills Continuous computer and
other technology device use Occasional bending, kneeling, lifting,
pulling, and pushing up to 15 pounds
