You will be part of a green field development of financial application that processes high volume and high value transactions between our supply side trading partners all the way to fulling our financial obligations with our clients and partners. -In this role, you will actively partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, as well as your development team on initiatives that support Evernorth's strategic goals. Being the Sr. Data modeler, you will be responsible for design and implementation of major components and domains of the data architecture and data models. You will focus on source system knowledge, data analysis, business requirements and provide conceptual, logical and physical data model designs to support the various initiatives in an agile environment. Core responsibilities: Reporting and analytical capabilities - Review existing data models to understand current environment, recommend changes to optimize data requirements. - Work closely with the upstream data owners, business stakeholders, analysts to understand reporting and analytics end state to drive the creation of scalable and documented data design solutions. - Work with the development team to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models. - Build logical and physical data models utilizing industry best practices. - Work closely with the business intelligence team to implement/publish data access layer in the data lake which is optimized for reporting and analytical needs based on business requirements. - Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks. - Support and evolve standards for all cycles of visual product development including requirements, prototyping, code development, versioning, documentation, and maintenance. - Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, program manager and team members in a Scaled Agile framework Experiences/Qualifications - Minimum five years of hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience with focus on data analysis, data structures and data modeling - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field preferred. - Experience with data modeling tools such as ERStudio or Erwin etc. - Demonstrated experience of physical data structure design using scripts from logical data model. - Strong understanding of dimensional data, data integration and warehousing design principles. - Understanding and prior experience of semi-structured and unstructured modeling strategies - Data mining and SQL experience a must - Knowledge and experience with agile development process, JIRA Align or similar tools, a must - Skilled and experienced in some of the following technologies (S3, EC2, Redshift database, Dynamo DB, Glue) - Demonstrated experience with thorough problem solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business acumen This role is WAH/Flex, which allows most work to be performed at home. WAH/Flex employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they choose to come onsite or if required to periodically come on site.
