drive our transformation. About our team: The WIMT Advice &
Planning team manages, develops and supports customer facing
financial advice and planning management systems. It has 100+
technology professionals globally between the US and India. Our
main development centers in the US are in New York/New Jersey,
Charlotte (NC) and St. Louis (MO). Our engineers are a mixture of
full stack, front end and back-end service experts, who take
advantage of the firm's commitment to ongoing professional
development through a wide range of resources. We have a separate
first line support team that allows engineers to focus on their
objectives. Our strong partnership with our business and
co-ownership of work through the Agile product operating model
means that there are plenty of opportunities for you to work
directly with our business partners and further your understanding
of the business. About this role: Wells Fargo's WIMT Advice &
Planning is looking for a best-in-class Lead Software Engineer to
run the activities for the customer facing financial advice and
planning management platform. This position requires a combination
of strong full stack software development, troubleshooting,
technical and communication skills. The ideal candidate thrives on
designing, developing and re -imagining solutions that provide
faster and more intuitive user experiences. They are passionate
about working with new technologies, DevOps, Dev Tooling, Build
Management, CI/CD pipeline and the continual improvement of
platforms through patching and upgrades. They thrive on complex
architectures and enjoy the challenge of leading other engineers.
In this role, you will:
- Act as leader in the Advice and Planning product development in
the design, development, and testing spaces
- Serve as an expert advisor mentoring high performing agile
teams
- Lead complex technology initiatives including many that are
companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant developing standards and companywide
best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology
solutions across engineering disciplines
- Collaborate with key technical experts and external industry
groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve product
goals
- Educate teams on emerging technical patterns, provide
implementation guidance and mentor more junior engineering staff
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years' experience with unit, functional, and end-to-end
automated testing
- 5+ years of experience with software architecture design
principals and designing software solutions
- 5+ years of experience with Java or related frameworks
- 1+ year of managing or building CICD and DevOps
components/pipelines
- Experience mentoring engineers Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years Spring Boot, REST
- 3+ years Apigee, Kafka or similar integration technologies
- 3+ years client-side development experience
- 3+ years of experience in performing code reviews
- Experience with Microservices, Micro-frontends, and Cloud
Architecture

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00 Annual Benefits
