Tapestry Solutions supports 85 defense, commercial and government customers from over 50 US locations and nine countries, including multiple forward operating bases in Afghanistan.Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Software Enterprise Architect in Maryland Heights, MO. In this role you will lead within the Mission Planning portfolio. Defines technical vision, infrastructure, requirements, designs and verifies highly-advanced architecture, data and information management systems and components. Provides consultation on design constraints. Participates in industry-wide standards specifications for architectural formats and modeling standards. Significant experience creating and documenting software architecture views with Enterprise Architect (or other), working with modern Web Technology stacks, Containerization, Cloud Architecture, DevSecOps and associated toolsets. The Enterprise Architect will have the ability to work problems of diverse scope with innovation, creativity and the ability to consider various factors in recommended solutions. Provides expert consultation on the feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Consults on trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assesses impact of architectural decisions on product lifecycle. Contributes to industry standards for architecture and data/information management. Represents the company in the industry. Coaches and mentors others. Participates in proposal development.Position Responsibilities:

  • Establishes architecture principles, rules and guidelines and contributes to establishing industry-wide architecture principles, rules and guidelines that provide a basis for consistent architecture decisions and practices.
  • Applies and develops highly-advanced technologies, systems engineering principles, theories and concepts as well as incorporates highly-advanced job practices, techniques and standards (e.g., patterns, frameworks, layered definitions) into project and program architectures. Identifies and communicates industry changes that could impact the formulation of value propositions.
  • Identifies innovative or more mature technical alternatives or refinements of evaluation criteria for utilization by projects.
  • Consults on trade-off analyses using advanced form, fit and function criteria.
  • Mentors and trains software engineers.
  • Consults on the establishment of system design constraints to ensure integration and compliance with architecture principles and directions. Recognizes the need or opportunity for the evolution of principles, frameworks and standards.
  • Designs and builds complex systems and components through the application and development of advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts as well as advanced job practices, techniques, and standards.
  • May represent company technology requirements to industry standards entities, establish industry information technology standards, and/or participate in national and/or international standards committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is requiredBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience working with API design
    • 5+ years of experience in web based development, leveraging ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
    • 3+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework enterprise (SAFe) or Agile in general
    • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes with a microservices technology
    • Experience using DevSecOps and supporting tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, Terraform, Git, NPM, Maven, Gradle
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), including managed cloud services, readiness, provisioning, security and governancePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • Experience on Automation and CI/CD techniques and design patterns
      • Experience in Googles Material Design
      • 3+ years of programming experience with Java, C++, C#
      • 1+ years of experience in developing simulation software
      • 1+ years of experience with DoD mission planningTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters and typically 18 or more years related work experience).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
