ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 26 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission) • 13-week assignment length • Weekend requirements: Every other weekend as required by facility • No call requirements • May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on day shift (ratios not guaranteed) • Care for 30-bed unit with surgical patients including GI, GU, Plastics, and overflow Ortho • Work with equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors • Use EPIC electronic medical records system • Required: Current RN License (eligible for Missouri licensure), BLS from AHA, 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience • Preferred certifications: ACLS from AHA, TNCC • Dress code: Black scrubs, Mercy M Wear only • Utilizes nursing process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities • Must be patient-focused team player willing to work varying schedules and shifts Facility: This healthcare organization has been serving the South St. Louis County area for over 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
