Job Description:

SSM Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated Surgical Support Tech to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our surgical teams and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for various surgical procedures. The Surgical Support Tech will be integral in maintaining our mission to serve the comprehensive health needs of communities across the Midwest through our fully integrated health care delivery system. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies during surgical procedures. Transport patients to and from the surgical suite, ensuring comfort and safety. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies. Set up surgical equipment and aid in room preparation before and after surgery. Provide support to the surgical team during operations as required. Maintain accurate records of all surgical inventories and patient interventions. Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control protocols. Ability to operate and maintain surgical instruments and equipment. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with medical staff and patients. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential preferred.
