Job Description:

SSM Health, a leading not-for-profit Catholic health system in the Midwest, is seeking a skilled Sonographer PRN to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services essential for the medical diagnosis and care of patients. The position entails using ultrasonic equipment to visualize muscles, tendons, and many internal organs, to capture relevant images and help in diagnosing various conditions. You will work under the guidance of our highly experienced medical professionals, contributing to health solutions across diverse communities with compassion and respect. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment accurately to capture diagnostic images according to physician's orders. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process to alleviate stress and obtain cooperation. Analyze synthesized data to make preliminary assessments and report findings to the healthcare team. Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure. Stay updated with safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure safe operations and patient care. Participate in scheduled department meetings and training to enhance professional skills and team cohesion. Proficiency in using ultrasonic equipment and interpreting images Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to follow complex instructions Keen attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
