working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Ortho RN
in Springfield, Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry
experience preferred IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required,
including PICC line management and starting IVs Preferred
experience with Cerner Description: This position is for an
Orthopedic Registered Nurse on a 38-bed unit. The nurse will work
night shifts, either 4x12 or 3x12. A minimum of 2 years of
experience is required. First-timers are accepted. Weekend work is
required, with shifts every other weekend. The nurse will float to
other medical-surgical departments as needed. The facility does not
accommodate block scheduling. Candidates must have active Illinois
licensure to apply; pending licenses are not accepted. Ideally,
candidates should have no more than 5 days of requested time off.
The client may call off up to 36 hours during the 13-week
assignment without compensation for the cancelled hours. Telemetry
experience is preferred for this role. Special procedures include
traction, bedside debridement, and complex dressing changes.
Experience in managing orthopedic elective surgeries, trauma
patients, and long-term IV antibiotics is beneficial. Candidates
will be required to use equipment such as slings, walkers, canes,
IV pumps, and vital sign monitors. This position is sensitive, so
candidates must complete all compliance needs in a timely manner
and adhere to attendance policies. Candidates must work 2 out of 3
major holidays. Floating is required across the facility and nearby
affiliates. AHA and Red Cross certifications will only be accepted;
RQI cards are not valid. Candidates must complete clinical modules
