Must-Have: Experience with vents, titration of pressors, and
insulin drips. Must have been at the bedside within the last 6
months. Must be able to float within the scope to meet facility
needs. Must be able to work every other weekend, Saturday and
Sunday. Description: We are seeking a registered nurse for a Step
Down Unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to
adult patients in a high-acuity environment. The patient-to-nurse
ratio is typically 1:4. The nursing duties include the management
of patients requiring titration of vasopressors, sedation
medication, and care of tracheostomy and ventilated patients. The
nurse will also manage arterial lines, chest tubes, and cardiac
arrhythmias. The ability to interpret arterial blood gases and
manage various forms of IV medications is essential. Familiarity
with rapid response and code teams is necessary. Proficiency in
handling procedural sedation is required. The nurse must be able to
demonstrate effective communication with the interdisciplinary
team, including respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and
pharmacy. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a
collaborative environment is expected. This position requires
floating to lower acuity floors as needed. The candidate should be
comfortable troubleshooting alarms for ventilators. Experience in
an acute care hospital setting is preferred. Candidates must
