Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and BCLS and NIH certifications. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital - Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 - Patient ratio is 1:6 - Must work two shifts every other weekend; assignments vary based on rotation - Will float within scope to units except ICU, SDU, and ED as needed - EPIC charting system is used; experience with EPIC is required for certain units - Provide care to neurological medical-surgical telemetry patients - Navy scrubs are required - No local candidates are accepted within 75 miles - Returning permanent employees must wait one year before being eligible as a traveler - Travelers may remain on assignment for an 18-month period and must take a 3-month break after this duration - No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation - Parking is available at no cost /n /n Requirements/n - Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required - BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required - Experience with EPIC EMR preferred - Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility - First-time travelers are accepted - No on-call responsibilities /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-674142.
