World Report, with more than 250 kidney transplants performed each
year. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of nurses,
physicians, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and spiritual
caregivers who communicate daily to meet patient needs. Nurses are
provided an extensive orientation specific to the care of our
patients, including critical care training. - Onsite Work required

the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Transplant Service
department at Barnes-Jewish and Washington University focuses only
on patients undergoing transplant and those with specific diseases
leading up to transplantation. Each transplant coordinator on the
transplant team is an expert in there transplant field of
specialty. Together, they bring their expertise, knowledge and
understanding to the patients in our multiple transplant programs.
The transplant coordinator organizes and manages all aspects of
care provided before and after transplant. Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose Coordinates the care of solid organ transplant
patients. Collects and evaluates existing data to determine the
suitability of potential transplant recipients and donors.
Monitors, evaluates and reports postoperative organ function and
complications for the transplant recipient and live donor. Provides
discharge instruction, coordinates post-transplant follow-up care,
monitors patient status, and facilitates the physical, social and
emotional rehabilitation of the patient. Plans, conducts and
evaluates educational activities regarding organ donation and
transplantation. Responsibilities - Manages the health care of
transplant patients and donors. - Coordinates care with physicians
and health care team. - Provides education throughout continuum of
care. - Documents patient assessment and diagnosis, plan of care,
implementation and evaluation of care and teaching on assigned
patients. - Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify
and resolve problems in patient care management. Minimum
Requirements Education - Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing
Experience - 2-5 years Supervisor Experience - No Experience
Licenses & Certifications - RN Preferred Requirements Education -
Bachelor's Degree - Nursing Experience - 5-10 years Licenses &
