Required IV therapy/infusion skills/experience: Accessing ports
Administration of coagulation factors Antifungals Antivirals Blood
and blood product administration Care and management of ports
Central line blood draw Central line and implanted line care PICC
line care Starting intravenous (IV) lines Description: The position
is focused on providing care in an oncology setting. The average
daily census is 24, with 24 rooms available. Candidates must be
willing to work every other weekend. Floating within the hospital
to meet facility needs is required. The position involves working
with adults and geriatric patients. The primary specialty includes
oncology and hospice care. Staffing support includes
interdisciplinary services such as physical therapy, respiratory
services, and social services. Additional responsibilities may
involve patient and family education and support. Must be able to
handle various patient conditions and manage side effects
effectively. Expected patient ratio is 6-7 patients per nurse. This
role will require familiarity with the Cerner charting system.
Candidates should be prepared to manage multiple patient needs and
collaborate with a healthcare team. Note: Candidates will be
subject to background checks and compliance requirements.
Medication administration and monitoring will be essential
functions of the role. Travelers must float as needed within the
hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Office hours for dosages
