Flat Rate - Memorial Hospital Belleville; may float to Shiloh -
Regular BJC shift differential, weekend differential, and Holiday
Differential and Premium will apply to applicable shifts. -
Flexible Schedule (4-10s or Combo of 8s & 10s) - 12 Week Commitment
Agreement - 12 Week Assignment Completion Bonus – $3,000 - 2yrs OR

absenteeism. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose A BJC Central
Staffing Office nurse will be required to float to 12 BJC
Healthcare Hospitals within their respective disciplines of
Operating Room (OR), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Emergency
Department (ED) (Alton Memorial Hospital, Barnes Jewish Hospital,
Barnes Jewish West County Hospital, Christian Hospital, Memorial
Hospital Belleville, Memorial Hospital East, Missouri Baptist
Medical Center, Missouri Baptist Medical Center – Sullivan,
Parkland Health Center, Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital and
Progress West Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital). This
position will provide direct patient care activities including
assessment/evaluation, diagnosis and plan implementation to the
general nursing floor based on nursing expertise and
certification/licensure.The role will provide a variety of
experiences and the opportunity to expand nursing skills through
caring for various patients with different conditions and treatment
plans while building professional relationships across the BJC
Healthcare system. The team member must be flexible, adaptable, and
resourceful, have a strong confidence in nursing practice and
promote exceptional patient and family centered care.
Responsibilities - Educates patients and their families about the
communication process during the procedure, what to expect, and any
support resources, as appropriate. Serves as liaison between
physician and the patient and family. - Demonstrates competence and
independent practice in roles of scrubbing and/or circulating for
all HSO-defined surgical services. - Uses established safety
techniques in preparing for and assisting with surgical procedures;
provides and sets up necessary instruments, supplies and equipment
for different types of surgeries or procedures according to
established safety requirements and preferences of physician. -
Keeps patients safe from adverse events associated with
surgery/procedure, including but not limited to: infection, burns,
pressure ulcers, wrong site surgery, etc. Has knowledge of wound
stage classifications. Observes patient during procedure to detect
possible complications and/or breaks in sterile technique;
furnishes emergency equipment and supplies to prevent adverse
outcomes. Preserves and labels operative specimens for analysis. -
Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and
regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development and
life long learning. May participate in orientation and
preceptorship of new staff, as needed. - BJC has determined this is

state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of
this job. Minimum Requirements Education - Nursing
Diploma/Associate's Experience - 2-5 years Supervisor Experience -
No Experience Licenses & Certifications - RN Preferred Requirements
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Nursing Licenses & Certifications -
