Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,848 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Med Surg License: Current RN License meeting eligibility criteria Certifications: BLS from AHA required; ACLS from AHA preferred Must-Have: 1 year of Med Surg experience in an inpatient setting Overall team player willing to provide care to a diverse population Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with established nursing practice and standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines. Physical demands include standing and walking for most of the shift. Must meet unit-specific physical demands, which include bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. May require working varying schedules and shifts according to patient care needs. High risk of exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for patients with various medical conditions and post-procedure needs. Maintains professional accountability for patient care outcomes. Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by supporting staff. Collaborates with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care. Adheres to all applicable standards and regulations.
