be considered. This opportunity offers a vital role in a Stepdown
Unit located in Florissant, MO, providing high-quality nursing care
during night shifts. The position is contract-based with a
guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3 x 12-hour night schedule (7:00
PM to 7:30 AM). Nurses will care for patients with complex needs,
including vasopressor titration, sedation medication management,
insulin drips, tracheostomies, ventilators, arterial lines,
external pacemakers, and chest tubes. Responsibilities include
monitoring and managing patient care in an acute care environment
with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1. The role requires
collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and flexibility to float
to lower acuity floors as needed. Candidates must have recent
bedside nursing experience within the last six months and
proficiency with the EPIC electronic charting system.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Minimum of 2 years nursing
experience preferred; first-time stepdown nurses accepted - Current
ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required - Ability
to manage complex patient interventions including vasopressors and
advanced monitoring devices - Willingness to work 2 night shifts
every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday, depending
on rotation) - Pending licenses are accepted within a 75-mile
radius - No restrictions on travel or license Facility and Location
