Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in
MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown - Required
cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills including
interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Experience with
gastrointestinal care, renal failure management, and IV therapy
including accessing ports and blood product administration -
Ability to manage various cardiac and vasoactive drips - Experience
with neurological assessments and surgical drain management -
Proficiency in respiratory care including chest tubes and
non-invasive airway management - Knowledge of isolation
precautions, wound care, and teaching hospital experience preferred
Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a
minimum of 2 years of experience in an intermediate care setting.
The nurse will work night shifts, averaging 12 hours per shift. The
average daily census for the unit is 38 patients. The nurse will
float to similar units as needed to meet facility needs. Weekend
work will be required every other weekend. Experience in telemetry
and cardiac monitoring is essential. Candidates must be proficient
in managing cardiac cases such as post-cardiac angiograms,
pre/post-cardiac surgery, and related procedures. Required skills
include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication management
protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in a teaching
hospital and be familiar with Cerner charting. Charge experience is
preferred but not mandatory. The candidate should be able to
demonstrate compliance with safety protocols and effective
communication in a multidisciplinary team environment. The nurse
must be able to work two out of three major holidays during the
contract duration. Flexibility in scheduling requests will be
