Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room Location: Springfield, IL Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 5x8 days shifts Key Responsibilities: Provide patient care in an outpatient or inpatient operating room setting (including general, hybrid, or trauma cases) Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential coverage at affiliate hospitals Adhere to facility protocols, including compliance with all required certifications and licensing Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems such as Cerner Work collaboratively with the surgical team to support a smooth operating room environment Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience Valid Illinois RN license in hand at submission Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA and Red Cross only) Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Willingness to float within hospital or to nearby facilities Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Must be able to complete necessary compliance requirements promptly, including background checks and Docusign processes Must not have been a Perm or PRN employee of the facility within the past 12 months Preferred Experience / Skills: Ambulatory OR experience preferred, but any OR setting (general, hybrid, trauma) is acceptable Experience with other surgical specialties is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Flexibility to accommodate a block schedule and RTO requests up to 5 days Why Join Us Be part of a dedicated team in a critical access facility committed to quality patient care Opportunity for professional growth in diverse OR settings within a supportive environment. $2744 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
