Job Description Job Description Location: St. Louis, MO Setting: Psychiatric / Correctional Healthcare Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts | Days & Nights Available Job Overview: The State of Missouri is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to support one of its healthcare entities in the St. Louis area. This role provides essential nursing care across multiple units and campuses in a psychiatric/correctional environment. Flexibility and professionalism are key, as assignments are based on operational needs. Schedule Details: - 12-hour shifts, alternating 36 and 48 hours per week - Every other weekend required - Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. - Night Shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. Scope of Work: - Work at either or both campuses and on any unit as assigned - Provide safe, ethical, and professional nursing care in accordance with State and facility policies - Follow all applicable State of Missouri contracts, regulations, and facility guidelines - Schedule assignments based on facility needs - Time-off and schedule change requests must be submitted in writing and approved in advance - No shift trading with facility staff permitted Requirements: - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a psychiatric or correctional setting - Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a traveling capacity - Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends - Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and adaptability Why This Role? - Meaningful work serving a State healthcare population - Fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment - Competitive State-contract opportunity Apply today to be considered for this Registered Nurse opportunity with the State of Missouri in St. Louis.
