traditional post-anesthesia care and specialized recovery for
critically ill ICU-level patients. There are four PACUs on the
Barnes-Jewish Hospital campus: Plaza West Tower PACU90 beds - -
Shift options 4x10s or 3/12s: - 5:30A-4:00P pre/post - 7:00A-7:30P
PACU - 8:00A-630P outpatient recovery - 10:00 AM /12:00 PM-rotate
PACU - 3x12 night shifts available (1900-0730, 2200-0830) - 24
hours of call per 6 week schedule - Critical care pay eligible -
Diverse, high-acuity patient population: neuro, transplant,
orthopedic, ENT, cardiac, vascular, thoracic, trauma, spine
Parkview Plaza Tower44 beds - Shift 4x10s - 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
rotating start times - 24 hours of call per 6 week schedule -
Critical care pay eligible - Recover minimally invasive surgery,
urology, colorectal, gynecology, bariatric and gender reassignment
surgeries Plaza West Tower34 beds - - 4x10 hour shifts630A, 730A,
8:00A start times available - 24 hours of call per 6 week schedule
- Critical care pay eligible - Recover cutting-edge interventional
radiology cases Center for Advanced Medicine40 beds - Shift
options: 4x10s or 5x8s - No nights, holidays or weekends - Recover
ophthalmology, orthopedic , breast, flaps, vascular and gender
reaffirming surgeries If you have one year of experience in

listed Overview Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides
direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis,
planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of
the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities - Promotes patient
and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates
patients and their families on how to manage their illness or
injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication
administration. - Participates in activities that promote patient
safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in
professional development. - Develops, implements, and documents
individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with
other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or
caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and
standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures
communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. -
Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical,
psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care,
including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and
population-specific needs. - BJC has determined this is a

job. Minimum Requirements Education - Nursing Diploma/Associate's -
